LCSW Supervision

I currently reside in the Galveston/Harris County area and am accepting supervisees for a June 2026 Cohort. I provide both individual and group supervision, which aligns with the LCSW requirements for those pursuing clinical supervision in Texas.

The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council establishes the LCSW requirements for clinical supervision in Texas. To meet these requirements, you must complete 100 total hours of supervision with your approved supervisor within a timeframe of no less than 24 months and no longer than 48 months. Additionally, you are required to accumulate 3000 total work hours before you can sit for your exam.

The cost of clinical supervision varies by therapist, and in the Galveston/Harris County area, the average cost of supervision is around $150 an hour. This results in a significant total of $15,000 for the 100 hours of clinical supervision required by the board to meet the LCSW requirements. However, I believe that obtaining supervision in Texas should not be an unattainable goal.

My current rate for 1 hour of individual supervision is $100, while 1 hour of group supervision is offered at $50. Additionally, I accept 4 students each year on a sliding scale. Understanding the challenges of securing supervision, I aim to be part of the solution, not the problem.
